About

The story behind Pagio—and why it exists.

If you've ever put down a book after a few pages for no real reason...

Or reached for short videos instead of the book on your nightstand...

Or loved reading but struggled to make it a consistent part of your day...

...you're exactly who I built this for.

I wasn't lacking discipline. I was lacking feedback.

Why I built this

I didn't start Pagio because I wanted to build a startup. I started it because I was struggling to slow down.

I don't spend much time on social media, but like many people, I still get pulled into short-form videos when I have a few spare minutes. It's easy dopamine — fast, familiar, effortless.

I love reading. I also play the piano. In both cases, I often stop not because it's hard, but because my brain wants the reward of what's already familiar.

Physical books don't tell you how often you show up. They don't quietly remind you that reading adds up. I needed something that would.

What Pagio is

Pagio is a small, calm app that makes reading visible again.

It doesn't set goals

It doesn't send reminders

It doesn't turn reading into a task

It simply remembers what you read, so you don't have to.

I built the first version during a quiet weekend while my child was sleeping. Since then, I've kept refining it by paying attention to how it feels to use.

Pagio isn't here to make you read more. It's here to help you notice that you already are.

If that sounds familiar, Pagio might be for you.
